Willie Leigh Wins PhotoChem Award Print E-mail

Dr. Willie Leigh has been awarded the 2010 Inter-American Photochemical Society Award in Photochemistry, for "outstanding contributions by members of the Society to the advancement of the photochemical and photophysical sciences, recognizing achievements made during the past ten years".

The specific citation reads "The Award recognizes Prof. Leigh’s fundamental and influential work in characterizing the photochemistry of the group 14 elements silicon, germanium and tin. Prof. Leigh has also contributed to the advancement of photochemistry and the photosciences through his service to the Society and through effective teaching and mentoring of young scientists in the field."
