SOUSCC 2010 Print E-mail

This past Saturday, six McMaster Chemistry undergraduate students participated in the 2010 Southwestern Ontario Undergraduate Student Chemistry Conference (SOUSCC), held at the University of Western Ontario. The conference was one of the biggest SOUSCC conferences that I've attended, with over 100 contributed talks and over 150 registered attendees. All the students presented excellent talks and made a great contribution to the conference. The students (and their supervisors) who participated include: Janice Cheung (Mozharivskyj), Saurabh Chitnis (Schrobilgen), Scott Forbes (Mozharivskyj), Spencer Knight (Adronov), Mark Pascoal (Brook), and Marlena Whinton (Brook). A McMaster Physics student, Adam Lewis (Dumont), also participated in the conference and also gave a great talk. Congratulations to all of these students, and their supervisors, for their contributions to the conference.

Special congratulations to Spencer Knight, who was awarded 2nd place in the Polymer and Materials Symposium for his presentation.
