I am pleased to let you know that the Centre for Microbial Chemical Biology (CMCB) is operational and open for business ( http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/qa/cmcb/index.html).

The Centre offers the following services:
  • proteomics
  • protein purification
  • microbial cell growth at BSL1 and BSL2
  • BSL1 40L fermentation
  • surface plasmon resonance
  • high throughput screening (cell based as well as UV-Vis, fluorescence, luminescence in vitro assays in 96, 384, and 1536 well capacity)
  • chemical library synthesis (e.g. To follow up on hits from high throughput screening)
  • small molecule purification
  • small molecule characterization (high resolution mass spectrometry, 700 MHz NMR)

The CMCB is professionally staffed and can offer fee for service or training depending on your needs.  We can also provide custom letters of support for your grant applications outlining the services and fees.

We are located on the 2nd floor of MDCL and more information on services, pricing etc can be found on our web site (http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/qa/cmcb/index.html) or by contacting the technical support staff ( http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/qa/cmcb/contact_us.html).
