Two McMaster students won awards for their presentations at the 38th POMS, which was held this past weekend at the University of Guelph:
Best Undergraduate Student Poster Nick McGregor, 3rd year Chemical Biology "Characterization of Novel PET Quenching Boronic Acid-based Saccharide Sensors" by N. McGregor, C. Pardin, and W. Skene (Nick described work he did last summer as a Reactive Intermediates Student Exchange (RISE) Scholar at the Universite de Montreal with Professor Will Skene)
Best Graduate Student Oral Presentation Lana Kostina "Reactions of Transient Silylenes with Amines and Tertiary Phosphines" by T. Singh, S. S. Kostina, and W.J. Leigh (Lana described work done last summer by her and Mac 3rd year Chemistry undergrad Shaan Singh)
