Adronov Students Place 1st and 2nd at SOUSCC Print E-mail

This past Saturday, the Southwestern Ontario Undergraduate Student Chemistry Conference (SOUSCC) was held at the University of Guelph.  Callisto MacIsaac and Brian Coleman, both from the Adronov Group, were the only two McMaster undergraduates that participated in this conference.  We are pleased to report that both came home with prizes.  Callisto received first place for her talk, entitled "Covalent Functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes with PEG Chains for Water Solubility", and Brian received second place for his talk, entitled "The Influence of Electron Withdrawing Groups on the Supramolecular Functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes Using Conjugated Polymers".  Both talks were in the same symposium.  Congratulations to both Callisto and Brian for an outstanding performance!

On a side-note, McMaster will be hosting this conference next year.
