The Combustion Analysis and Optical Spectroscopy facility provides a variety of spectroscopic techniques for sample analyses, and is made available to the Department, the University, and other academic, government,or industrial laboratories. Clients may submit samples to the manager, or may wish to have their own researchers trained to use theinstruments.

The facility follows the guidelines set out for GMP/GLP with many SOPs in place for the handing and analysis of samples.  The facility is GMP aware.  The facility manager has taken several courses in GMP/GLP operations.  Please enquire for details.
