This is the area in Germany where we stayed for a night en route to Italy.

As we approached the Austrian/Italian border, we had to change our route due to major floods.

We finally made it into Italy, and this is a view of the Dolomite mountains.

Following a lecture packed day, the conference attendees went out for the conference dinner.
