MDQ Capillary Electrophoresis System
Our versatile CE instrument equipped with UV absorbance detector
and dual-channel laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detector modules with
sample tray & capillary thermostatic control. Currently, we utilize
an Ar-ion laser (488 nm) and two solid-state UV lasers (355 nm/266 nm)
coupled to a single channel for ultra-sensitive analyses of natively fluorescent
and fluorescently-labeled metabolites.
Capillary Electrophoresis-Ion Trap Mass Spectrometry System
Our powerful CE system equipped with PDA, ESI with XCT ion trap
mass spectrometer for comprehenisve metabolomic analyses. CE-MS in conjunction
with on-line sample preconcentration permits nanomolar detection limits
with structural elucidation of low abundance unknown metabolites.
5000 Series Capillary Electrophoresis Systems
Our robust CE instruments equipped with UV absorbance and/or
photodiode array detector with capillary thermostatic control. Instrument
is used in conjunction with on-line preconcentration techniques for
sub-micromolar analyses of different classes of low abundance metabolites.
Our laboratory has recently been furnished with basic equipment
for analytical and synthetic based research including UV-vis and fluorescence
spectrophotometers, rotary evaporator, water purification system,
pH meters, electronic balances and centrifuges. The set-up of home-built
CE instruments for teaching/research is planned for the near future.
