Daniel Chen has 15 years experience in innovation, product and concept development. He is a synthetic chemist specializing in the development of silicone-based material synthesis and control of surface properties to improve the performance of medical devices and the biocompatibility of silicone-based biomaterials. He has filed 7 patents and patent-pending applications and published 34 scientific papers.

Prof. Michael A. Brook, founder, Chief Scientific Officer

Mike Brook is a Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is an expert in silicon, silica and silicone chemistry. He wrote the solely authored book Silicon in Organic, Organometallic and Polymer Chemistry (Wiley). His main interests revolve around the application of silicon chemistry to materials science, particularly in interfacial control and to make silicone polymers more sustainable.
